What makes a successful business retreat? Veterans tell of the Three P’s — Planning , Presentation and Place. Willow Pond Farmstead is a very special place!

The atmosphere is relaxed, the surroundings rustic. Immediately outside the meeting area is a 1/4 mile trail around a pond teaming with fish and waterfowl. Another trail branches off to a 1 mile walk through pastures and forest. Return to the meeting site (your choice of two barns) and you’ll find a wireless 802.11g network access point with firewall ready to connect you to the Internet via cable modem. Digital cellphone service is here, too — right along with rare and endangered heritage breeds of livestock, hayrides, plenty of convenient parking, and even a working 1926 Ford Model T. And most of the place is handicap-accessible.

Once here, golfers will enjoy nearby Keith Hills Country Club. Canoers can test their skills on the gentle rapids of the Cape Fear River. And everyone can enjoy fishing in our well-stocked ponds.

Contract Terms and Rates

Our retreat rate is $1,000 per day and includes complete use of the property.

from noon to 11:00pm the day before the retreat for set-up and decoration;
from 7:00am to 9:00pm on the day of the retreat; and,
from 9:00pm to 11:00pm immediately after the retreat for breakdown and clean-up.

The fee also includes your optional use of the Farmstead’s tractor and haywagon (seats 12 per trip) and our 1926 Model T (with driver) for short rides on the property. Fishing is permitted on all three of our stocked ponds — and guests may keep the fish they catch.

The company must bring or provide for a certified lifeguard whenever it elects to invite its employees, families and guests to use our paddleboats during the event.

We require a $500 deposit at the time of booking and the balance of the fee 60 days before the scheduled retreat date. If your event is threatened by inclement weather, we will happily reschedule it for another available date of your choosing. In the event of a complete cancellation, we will refund all money you have paid if we are able to re-book the property for the same amount and period.

Of course, the company is responsible for any loss or damage to our property that occurs during the booking period.
